Becoming a mom is already hard as it is from the very beginning when you get pregnant to nourishing and taking care of the baby inside the tummy until finally seeing your little bundle of joy .
So let me tell you my motherhood journey for my first blog post . I was not prepared to be a mom when I got pregnant . I was an escrow specialist, a breadwinner, and just enjoying my single life then . Having Scott wasn’t really planned but when I found out I got pregnant , I didn’t think twice of keeping the child . A month later, Jay and I got married. Being pregnant and married in a whirlwind didn’t sink in yet to me but one thing for sure , it completed me .
Scott Cedric was born on November 20, 2012 and from there, my dream to have my own family came true. I juggled being a working mom, wife and a daughter to my parents. Life seems way better than what I have before.
After Scotty turned 15 months , I found out I was pregnant with baby number 2. It was a complicated pregnancy. I was on full bed rest until delivery when we found out we were having twins.
And so the miracle twins Saoirse Calley and Sarisha Carley were born prematurely at 33 1/2 weeks on August 24, 2014. This was the day that I got afraid the most. One of the twins is weak and had tubes all over her body . It even came to a point when we need to transfer her to The Philippine Heart Center by ambulance because her heart rate went up to 200+. That was the most traumatic ride of my life. Fortunately, her heart rate stabilized and everything went well . Imagine leaving the other twin at the hospital where I gave birth and having the other twin with me. I was so restless but I pumped milk for Sari who was only 1.4kg and stayed in the incubator. After 2 weeks, we were able to take them home one after the other but nurses still went to our house everyday to inject medicines. By God’s grace ,they are now so kikay 4 year olds and have never been hospitalized since then.
I was supposed to be ligated after the twins birth but doctor refused because I was only 28 then . She said I can give birth after 5 years for my body to fully recover from the twin pregnancy .
On December 2016, before Christmas, we found out we are expecting another baby. I already have a full-time job and was travelling so it was so hard for me to be pregnant at the same time that my husband is leaving to work overseas . Since I always have a delicate pregnancy and have hyperemesis gravidarium ,I had to resign from my job and focus on raising the 3 little toddlers. It was hard as in super duper hard but I prayed to the Lord to overcome the trial and be strong for my kids.
On August 9, 2017, my little sweetheart Sawyer Chelsea was born . I was so happy because finally, she looks like me. 😂 I became a mom of four at 31 years old and I have never been happier. It’s a whole lot of mess at home but these little creatures are my everything. God made me four times the mother He wants me to be.
