California Grapes Muffin Recipe

California Grapes Muffin Recipe

How do you feel about this story?

It’s good vibes all around when there’s grapes on the table! My family loves grapes and it’s the one fruit that my kids enjoy snacking on even in school.

My grape-obsessed fam prefers California Grapes. Why, you ask? The quality is superb in terms of taste (sweet! sweet! sweet!), texture (firm and juicy), and appearance (fun colors of red, green, and black).

California Grapes burst with flavor and boast of healthy goodness, too. They are nutrient-dense that are beneficial to the heart, brain, immunity, skin, and the colon.

Did you know that grapes contain more than 80% water and are a low glycemic fruit? This helps especially when you’re watching your sugar intake.

On the rare occasion that there’s some fresh grapes left in the fruit bowl (‘coz once you start munching on ‘em grapes, you really can’t stop!), I try to include them in shakes and salads. More recently, I baked some grape muffins with a recipe I found on Pinterest.

Grape Muffins using California Grapes

  • 1½ cups California Grapes, sliced
  • 2½ cups flour
  • ½ cup sugar (or your sweetener of choice)
  • 2½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup fresh milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup melted butter

  1. Preheat oven to 180C.
  2. Line 12 muffin tins with paper cups.
  3. Combine the flour, sugar, and baking powder.
  4. Add milk, vanilla, eggs, and butter.
  5. Stir until ingredients are combined. Lightly fold in grapes.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  7. Cool in pan. Serve and enjoy.

My kids really loved it! These muffins pair well with either a cold or warm beverage. I personally prefer having them with hot coffee or tea.

It’s no secret that we’re big fans of California Grapes! Try them while they’re in season. Go to stores near you or order online.
